Here are some things to know when you place an outgoing referral (not directly to another agent you know):

​

• Once a referral is submitted, it is placed with a preferred brokerage within 2 hours during normal business hours. (If there is no preferred brokerage in the area, a local brokerage will be contacted for assistance with the referral.) 

​

• There will be updates about the referral every 14 days.

​

• Once the file closes, the assigned brokerage will send Coldwell Banker Select the referral check, and you'll be notified it's available for pick-up.

​

• Every outgoing referral is a 35% referral fee. 14% to Cartus, 21% to the referring agent less the 6% franchise fee.
